Can we create luck? If you have been reading my articles, you should have realized by now that there is no such thing as coincidence. Everything that happens to you is attracted to you by your subconscious mind. Anthony Robbins says "luck is when opportunity meets preparation". If opportunity is attracted by your subconscious mind and preparation depends on your own hard work, then luck is simply something that can be attracted when enough preparation has been done. Despite of the fact that we have full control over our own luck in the above context, it is necessary for us to understand that life is subjected to the law of rhythm. The law of rhythm states that everything is moving at perfect rhythm and at perfect speed. In Napoleon Hill’s MOST COMPLETE success guide "The Law Of Success", he wrote "there is a wheel on which the affairs of men revolve, and its mechanism is such that it prevents any man from being always fortunate." Indeed, all of us have experienced times when things are moving very smoothly and times when things just seem out of our favour. We do not have control over the law of rhythm. Our job is to focus on what we want and go with the flow instead of resisting it. Farmers understand the law of rhythm. They understand the four seasons of nature and when it comes to spring, they work very hard to harvest. But when it comes to winter, they rely on their reserves and prepare themselves for the next spring. Unfortunately, many people nowadays struggle to harvest in winter because they have not saved enough or harvested enough during spring time. When it comes to business, if we understand the law of rhythm, we will understand that during good times, we should profit as much as we can and save the money so that we are able to survive through the bad times while preparing ourselves for the next good times. That's why saving is important! Does it mean that you can us the law of rhythm as an excuse for your underachievement? Nope. The law of rhythm obeys the law of averages, thereby insuring us against continuous bad luck. Both you and highly successful people have equal share of good and bad luck. The art of mastering the law of rhythm is to maximize your harvest during good times and save enough for the bad times. So is there such thing call luck? You decide. For me, I would prefer to assume that I have full control over my luck, yet I try not to struggle too much if things do not move according to my plan. Regardless of what is happening to me now, I always affirm to myself that what I desire is coming to me faster and faster. From my experience, this is a powerful affirmation.
